DETROIT (WKZO) — Ford Motor Company is reporting its U.S. sales rose by 15-percent in June compared to a year ago. U.S. sales of the four core General Motors brands rose by 36-percent and Chrysler Group continues to improve its sales after bankruptcy. The automaker said its June U.S. sales figures were 35-percent higher than the same time a year ago. They were down about a dozen percentage points from May’s figures.
Honda’s U.S. auto sales for June were also up, but not by as much as Detroit’s Big Three. The Japanese automaker reports a sales increase of six-point-two percent and Toyota’s U.S. sales in June were up by six-point-eight percent compared to 2009.
